The Greater Albany Public Schools are open as usual Wednesday, December 17, 2008, but there may be an early release if weather dictates later in the day.

About FlashAlert — Greater Albany Public School District subscribes to the FlashNews network, a service that notifies television, radio and newspapers in the event of school closures/late starts/early dismissals, etc. The District also subscribes to FlashAlert which takes the same emergency information relayed to area media about District delays/closures and sends it to subscribers via e-mail or text message. An RSS News Feed is also available. (FlashAlert has no subscription cost and does not share subscribers' e-mail addresses with other organizations.)
